Chris Miller

Chris Miller was born in Washington, DC and raised in Derwood, Maryland. He now lives in Olney, Maryland with his wife, Corinne, and their dog, Red. Chris graduated from Magruder High School and went to Virginia Tech where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resource Management and a minor in Forestry. Upon graduation, he returned to Montgomery County, Maryland and began work as a Certified Arborist and Maryland Licensed Tree Expert with his brother, John Miller Jr. at Rock Creek Tree, Turf & Landscape.
In early 2019, Chris, along with his brother, Charlie, purchased the farm formerly owned by the late Samuel Riggs IV, located in Olney, MD. Since then, they have worked closely with their business partners to develop Lone Oak Farm, Lone Oak Brewing Company, and Montgomery Malt Company. The farm and onsite businesses work to cultivate crops and products which through value-added processes ultimately end up being sold to the local community.
